Enjoy fighting off hordes of enemy spaceships in space.
Depressurised is a top-down space shooting game, in which you fight off hordes of enemies with the goal to survive as long as possible. In order to survive, you must maintain air pressure within your ship. if your ship takes damage, pressure will start to escape (affecting your ships mobility) so be sure to repair any damage!

About the Project
Depressurised was created as part of a 48 hour Game Jam held within my University.
The team I was a part of during this Game Jam consisted of three programmers. I took on the role as producer, and created most of the core game-play mechanics, as well as the art, seen in the game.
I plan to use this project to practice some post-processing in Unity, I also want to work on the balancing (as the current game is too difficult) as I create more enemy types and add some rogue-like element, to expand the game-play loop.

What I learned
- How to manage my time during a Game Jam. As this was my first Game Jam that I had participated in, I had to focus more of my time on creating more basic, but functional, gameplay features instead of going back through code to refactor and improve before moving on to something else. I also had to plan time to create basic pixel art sprites that we could add to the game, so it had some visual features (as we had no artist in the team).
- How to organise tasks among a team. As I had taken on the role as 'producer', I had to make sure that the other members had tasks to complete and that more important tasks were being given the most attention.
- Managing sprites in Unity. Creating art for this game was my first time importing and using my own sprites in Unity.
